Welcome to the new Puerto Azul, located on Playa Norte across from the park and next to the fishing boats on Paseo Claussen. This restaurant, rich in history since 1946, is famous for its seafood. After being closed for a couple of decades, it has been re-opened by the Galvan family, who is committed to having this unique ocean-side venue identified as a true dining experience.

Since the restaurant is right there with the fishermen, the very freshest bounty of the sea is served. The Pargo (Red Snapper) and Dorado (Mahi Mahi) appears on your plate scant hours from being caught.

The menu is in the tradition of years past, but with new surprises. We feature the well-known “Pescado Zarandeado” (whole fish and vegetables wrapped in foil and cooked on our charcoal grill). Fish filets will, of course, be cooked to your preference.

Our service style and the warmth of our staff makes the diners feel like kings and queens of the ocean, which distinguishes Puerto Azul from other restaurants in Mazatlán. Seating options are in the air-conditioned interior or on the bamboo-shaded deck, which overlooks the beach. Deck seating gives one the sense of being on the waves while watching the sunset.

The ambiance of the ocean-side location is enhanced by pleasantly soft background music, providing a relaxing place to enjoy being with that special someone or a group of friends.
